Before 2023 ended I went with my company to the IFA conference in Doha as primary sponsors of the event. The theme this year was ‘Leadership in an accelerating world’ and couldn’t have felt more apt.
As technology, climate and politics go through such rapid and unprecedented changes, it will require strong leadership to steer us down unchartered routes and build robust paths to stable prosperity. There were some fascinating speakers and thought-provoking discussions from across the industry such as Svein Tore Holsether CEO of Yara internatinoal and from outside of it such as Professor John Metselaar from the Brussells school of economics.
I particularly enjoyed the session on redefining corporate leadership on the Wednesday. It focused on how a new global landscape offers very different roles and responsibilities to CEO’s and industry leaders.
