This week I had the pleasure of attending the Hurlingham Club in West London for the annual Conservative party summer party.
Attendees from the Cabinet included Foreign Secretary Lord Cameron, Business Secretary Kemi Badenoch and Defence Secretary Grant Shapps and Home Secretary James Cleverley of who I had a wonderful conversation with about global affairs
Due to upcoming election commitments The Priminister Rishi Sunak addressed us with a charasmatic video message and as usual his comittment to the party and country was inspiring.
It was the fundraising auction that had everyone cheering, bringing a lot of fun to what is most importantly a social occasion! Lunch with the wonderful business secretary Kemi Badenoch was the star prize, raising thousands of pounds for the party and showing why I think that she offers a bright future for the party and hopefully the United Kingdom going forward.
Democracy is more than just crossing a box at the ballots, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have been part of such a significant polical gathering. It has motivated me to contribute more actively to causes that matter to me and take an active role in the greater community of this fine country.
